The basic component consists of an electronic circuit, or chip in a housing with contact fins. On the housing (1) of the basic component (2) a cover (3) is provided with an inner cavity (4) and fasteners. The cavity is defined by the cover top side and the housing top side (6) below. The cavity contents extension modules functionally coupled to the basic component. Pref. the latter is retained by a main socket with retainers for the extension modules. The main socket is covered by the cavity lid with fasteners for the socket. The main sockets may have couplers for functional connection between the basis component and extension modules. ADVANTAGE - Compact design for adaptation to individual functions.
