Peptides of general formula (I) and their salts are new, i.e. X-Z-W-E-W'-Y (I), where X=H; R1-CmH2mOCO; R1-CmH2mOCO; R1-CmH2mCO; R1SO2; (R1-CmH2m)-L-(R1-CpH2p)-CTH2r-CO; H-(NH.CH2CH2+mNH.CH2CO or I-fluorenyl-CmH2mOCO; Z=0-4 peptide-bonded amino acid residues, i.e. Abu; Ada, Ala, Arg, Asn, Bia, Dab, Gln, Gly, His, N(im)alkyl-His, Ile, Len, tert. hen, Lys, Met, Nbg, Nle, Orn, Phe, Pro, Ser, Thr, Tic, Trp, Tyr and Val; W and W'=-NR2-CHR3-CHR4-(CHR5)n-CO; E=0-2 peptide-bonded amino acid residues, i.e. Abu, Alo, Ila, Leu, Met, Nle and Val; Y=OCtH2E-R6,NHCtH2t-R6 or NA2; or W'-Y can be (II) R1 and R3=A; Ar; Ar-alkyl; or, opt. substd. by 1 or more alkyl, alkoxy or halo, 3l7C cycloalkyl, 4-11C cycloalkylalkyl, 7-14C bi-or tri-cycloalkyl or 8-18C bi- or tri-cycloalkylalkyl; R2,R5 and R6=H or A; R4=OH or NH2; L=CH or N; m,p,r and t=0-5; n=1 or 2; Q=O or NH; Ar=phenyl (opt. substd. by 1 or more A, AO, halo, CF3, OH and/or NH2) or naphthyl; A=1-8C alkyl; also N(alkyl)CO can replace one or more NHCO; in W and W' one R4=OH, the other is NH2; gps.
