The installation for holding and supplying a blow lance for a metallurgical vessel consists of a carrier structure with a facing plate having at least one media supply line which can be coupled to the respective socket in the clamping plate of the blow lance. The facing plate is provided with guide plates for reception and accurate positioning of the blow lance which is clamped and locked together with its clamping plate-against the facing plate-by means of pairs of holding arms and swivel levers. USE/ADVANTAGE - For steel converter plants. It allows quick, non manual changing of blow lances without involvement of complex (and fault prone) mechanisms.
