The proposal is for an undervoltage detection circuit which, when a voltage falls below a predeterminable level, has switching circuit components in the form of the series connection of a plurality of diodes (11-14) with at least one resistor (10, 15) to which the voltage to be monitored is applied. The predeterminable voltage is set by the number of diodes (11-14) and the resistance of the resistor (10, 15). When the voltage drops below the predeterminable level the switching means block and reverse at least one semiconductor switch (16, 18) connected thereto. Virtually full temperature compensation for the undervoltage switching threshold can be attained especially with a suitable value of the resistor (10, 15).
