POLYURETHANE RESIN, METHOD FOR ITS PREPARATION AND APPLICATION

Polyurethane resin is used as an adhesive in the manufacture of antibiotics-based medical dressings. It offers a characteristic stickiness and low contents of medicinal products. The resin is obtained in mild conditions starting from a reduced number of components. The key component of the composition, a polyurethane pre-polymer, is synthetised from 10.4 parts by mass of polymeric diphenylmethane diisocyanate and 26.07-60.84 parts by mass of polyoxyalkylene glycol with a molecular mass 9,000 in presence of 0.07-0.14 parts by mass of an organostannic catalyst. Polyoxyalkylene glycol is obtained by copolymerisation of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide at a ratio of 1:1. The basic CO:OH ratio in the initial products ranges between 1.5:1 and 3.5:1.
