The invention concerns a procedure for automatically forming a sealed letter arrangement. A first sheet part 21 forming an envelope part, and at least one inner sheet 31 that can be placed in same, are fed synchronously to a processing line 4,51,6,7,8,9 where the envelope part's first sheet part 21, in a folding station 7, is folded in a direction transverse to its side edges 22 so that a first folding sheet part 211 is shorter than a second folding sheet part 212. The envelope part's folded first sheet part 21 is conveyed to a receiving station 8, wherein the inner sheet 31 is fed in between the folding sheet parts folded towards each other in the envelope part's first sheet part 21. Finally, an envelope-part- forming second sheet part 24 is fed in between the folding sheet parts 211,212 folded towards each other in the envelope part's first sheet part 21 and over the inner sheet 31, after which the sheet parts are fastened together in order to seal the letter arrangement. <IMAGE>
