The leaves of natural plants, such as chinese rushes, are sewn together to form an insulating mat of varying sizes and thicknesses. One or both sides of each mat can be based on tar paper, glass fibre mat, rush mat or similar. The leaves can be treated to be fire and/or contamination resistant and may be sewn together in a variety of different ways to make mats of different thicknesses and shapes. USE/ADVANTAGE - Environmentally friendly insulation material which also provides use for agricultural product.
