The switching module has a switching network of the first type (KF1.A) and a switching network of the second type (KF2.A). The switching network of the first type (KF1.A) switches digital signals which belong to services of the connection-oriented mode, in synchronous transfer mode, and the switching network of the second type (KF2.A) switches digital signals which belong to services of the connectionless mode, in the asynchronous transfer mode.
