This device for converting a very low amplitude DC signal into an AC signal, of the type including a centre-tapped transformer (1) connected to a chopper (2) with transistors (3,4), is characterised in that the transformer (1) and the transistors (3,4) are arranged in a box (15) held at very low temperature, and in which there is arranged a material (20) for thermal insulation of the transistors (3,4) with respect to the rest of the box so as to reduce the temperature fluctuations and allow these transistors to operate by self-heating due to their control current.
