The method having multi-operating and self-adjusting functions determines which key from an operational key, a set key, and normal keys should be selected. If not key signal has been printed, a waiting operation takes plase if the setting does not apply any more. Then an operational mode is indicated for a preset time. There is a transition into useful operation, if the setting is still ON, and the latter is checked, if the operating key has been selected. Thus each operating indication is switched ON and OFF, if the setting does continue. Thus the switching of the operational mode is indicated.
