PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device capable of maintaining stable performance by preventing toner, corona products, etc., from sticking to a charge wire and the inside of a casing, on a pre-cleaning destaticizing/ electrifying charger, in the lapse of time. CONSTITUTION:A shutter 28 released when a destaticizing/electrifying charger 5 is operated, is provided on the opening part of the destaticizing/electrifying charger 5, opposite to the surface of the photosensitive body 1. The shutter 28 is composed of a dielectric, and can cover, at least, a part of the surface of the side facing the charge wire 30 of the casing 25 of the destaticizing/ electrifying charger 5, when the shutter 25 is closed. The destaticizing/ electrifying charger 5 has the application of DC and AC superimposed voltages. The destaticizing/electrifying charger 5 is provided on the upstream side on the photosensitive body 1, when the charger 5 is viewed from the side of a cleaning device. |
