PURPOSE:To reduce the coloration of reflected light of the laminate type color liquid crystal display element. CONSTITUTION:Two TN type liquid crystal cells 2 and 4 are put one over the other interposing a neutral polarizing plate 3 and a color polarizing plate 1 is placed at the top to constitute the color liquid crystal display element; and the polarizing plate 3 put between the liquid crystal cells 2 and 4 is optically adhered to the liquid crystal cell 2 on it. This constitution reduces the light which passes through only the color polarizing plate 1 and is reflected and much reflected light passes through the neutral polarizing plate 3, so the coloration of the reflected light is reduced. |
