PURPOSE:To automatically inhibit the payment of the amount of money of merchandise subjected to discount such as bargain to be make by means of a ticket added with a premium by providing a merchandise judgement means judging whether or not sales merchandise is subjected to a specific discount. CONSTITUTION:A RAM 13 is formed with section table storing a section name and a status for each section code. A CUP 11 retrieves the section table by means of the key-inputted section code and checks the status corresponding to the input section code. When the status is '0', the merchandise is other than the merchandise subjected to discount, and so the sales amount of it is added in a totalizer for merchandise not subjected to discount. When the status is '1', the merchandise is subjected to discount, and so, the sales amount of it is added in the totalizer for merchandise subjected to discount. Thus, since the judgement of whether or not the merchandise is subjected to discount is automatically performed based on the status set in the section table, a casher need not be aware of whether or not the merchandise to be registered is subjected to discount. |
