PURPOSE:To solve a problem of durability or the like for a switching element or the like. CONSTITUTION:Power from a converter circuit 1 is supplied to a parallel circuit of a coil 3 and a diode 4 through a diode 2 and supplied to a main capacitor 5 through this parallel circuit. The power from the converter circuit 1 is supplied to, for instance, a xenon discharge tube 6 through the diode 2, and an IGBT (insulating gate type bipolar transistor) 7 is provided as a switching element in series to this xenon discharge tube 6. Further, a drive signal from a drive circuit 9 is supplied to this IGBT7 through a resistor 8. In this circuit, a time- division drive signal is supplied to the IGBT7 from the drive circuit 9. |
