PURPOSE:To provide a range-finding device capable of making time lag minimum by simultaneously executing two kinds of range-finding technique which require time. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a first integration means 5 respectively detecting central range-finding value on the central part of a photographic image plane and a peripheral range-finding value on the peripheral part in terms of time division and outputting them, a second integration, means 7 finding the moving speed of an object based on the output of a first photodetector receiving a first luminous flux kept being projected while the first integration means 5 is acting, and an arithmetic means 6 finding an object distance based on moving body prediction obtained by using the moving speed outputted from the means 7 when the central range-finding value is nearer than a specified value, and based on the central range-finding value or the peripheral range- finding value outputted from the means 5 when the central range-finding value is farther than the specified value. |
