PURPOSE:To use as a storage battery (a secondary battery) but not as a capacitor, by forming a carbon electrode made by using a solidified carbon powder as the cores, and a corrosion-proof metallic conductor of a very low contact resistance as the outer connecting bodies, of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:In a battery in which a pair of outer connecting bodies 6 for outputting the electrode are provided, a carbon electrode 3 is loaded, an insulating film 2 is provided inside the carbon electrode 3, and the carbon electrode 3 is partitioned into two layers corresponding to the outer connecting bodies 6. The carbon electrode 3 is made by using a clad and solidified active carbon powder as the cores. The outer connecting bodies 6 are composed by using a corrosion-proof metallic conductor of a very low contact resistance, and forming their clad parts with the carbon electrode 3, with an amorphous metal or a ceramics conductor. |
