<p>PURPOSE:To enable the ice and snow dropping work to be done safely and easily without excessively giving partial external force to a cable, and enable it to be removed even if the ice and snow are in frozen condition. CONSTITUTION:This device for taking ice and snow off a cable is equipped with an ice and snow dropping crawler 1 comprising pieces 1a for dropping ice and snow capable of collapsing and letting the ice and snow 11 fall off a cable 10 and rubber pieces 1b for traveling, a traveling propulsion crawler 2 comprising rubber pieces 1b for traveling, an ice and snow crushing cutter 5 provided at the top in advance direction, and a power source 8 for rotating the ice and snow dropping crawler 1, the traveling propulsion crawler 2, and the ice and snow crushing cutter 5 in the advance direction through a chains of transmitting members. Furthermore, the ice and snow dropping crawler 1 and the traveling propulsion crawler 2 have the constitution of catching a cable 10 from above and below through an elastic mechanism 3.</p> |
