<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a tape damage by reducing the tape tension during a fast tape winding of a recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:A base end section 20b of a tension spring 20, which rotationally pressing a tension arm 28, is connected to a slider 31 which performs a sliding operation in accordance with the tape fast forwarding operations. During a tape fast forwarding, the slider 31 is slid, the end section 20b of the spring 20 is moved closer to the axis supporting point of the tension arm 28. Thus, rotational pressing force of the spring 20 against the tension arm 28 is reduced resulting in a reduction of a back tension against the tape.</p> |
