<p>PURPOSE:To permit the detection of the abnormality of an alternator while discriminating a case, whereupon a power supplying line is disconnected, from another case, whereupon the power supplying line short-circuited and the flow of a field current is continued. CONSTITUTION:A generating voltage Vt of an alternator is compared with a set maximum voltage value Vmax in a step S3. Upon the abnormality of Vt>Vmax, the field current of the alternator is controlled so as to be reduced. Thereafter, a set time Cw1 is elapsed in a step S10, then, the generating voltage Vt of the alternator is compared again with the set maximum voltage value Vmax in a step S11. When Vt>Vmax, the field current is not reduced by the reducing control and a field current is discriminated from short-circuit in a step S12. On the other hand, when Vt<=Vmax, the field current is reduced actually and it is discriminated from the disconnection of a power supplying line in a step S15.</p> |
