PURPOSE:To print out an index print sheet with a size just contained in a disk case of a standard size independently of dot resolution of the printer for the index print sheet added to an optical compact disk. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit 10 allows a CD reproduction device 20 to read an index picture 122 recorded on a compact disk 26 and allows a printer 30 to print it out. Prior to the printing, the central processing unit 10 confirms the dot resolution of the printer 30 to be employed. When the resolution of the printer 30 is a prescribed value, e.g. 200dpi, the printing is proceeded without additional processing. However, when the resolution of the printer is higher than the prescribed resolution, an auxiliary picture such as a frame picture 120b is synthesized onto a reduced picture 120a forming an index picture 122. Thus, the size of the index picture 122 to be printed out is set to be the specified size. |
