The multipurpose balloon catheter (10) comprises a tubular body (14) having a proximal end portion (12), a distal end portion (16), and at least two lumens within the tubular body (14). The distal end portion (16) has three spacedapart balloons thereon, the distal balloon (20) being an occlusive balloon, the middle balloon (22) being a stent mounting balloon, and the proximal balloon (26) being an occlusive balloon.
