REMOTE CONFERENCE SYSTEM BY TELEPHONE

PURPOSE: To assist the proceedings of remote conference for the sponsor by providing information indicating important operation to be executed by a terminal. CONSTITUTION: A remote conference system is provided with terminals 1 connected to a telephone network by telephone lines belonging to participant's telephony equipment. A console 2 connected to the telephony equipment of one participant to be operated as the promoter expresses the concerned operation executed by the terminal 1 so as to assist the sponsor. This operation is shown on a display board 24 due to indicator light on the console 2 and transmitted by the sponsor's telephony equipment. It can become a command such as the call of participant, the in-accessibility of line or terminal operation mode programming or the signaling of occupation or release of line due to the participant. Further, even when the participant has not right to speak, this system enables the transmission of instruction from every participant to the promoter, the question from the sponsor concerning the calling number list and time interval of remote conference at the terminal 1 and the automatic call setting of participant from the terminal to the remote conference.
