摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a highly efficient driving device for electric automobile which is excellent in response and containing efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The driving device for electric automobile comprises a CVT 80 coupled between a motor and wheels to continuously vary the speed ratio between them, a speed ratio control means 91 therefor, means 90 for operating the speed ratio of the CVT 80, a pattern generating means 30 for generating a target number of revolution of the motor, means 40, 41 for controlling the number of revolution of the motor, and means 20, 21 for controlling the number of revolution of the wheel. According to the constitution, highly efficient high response operation can be realized by operating a continuously variable speed change ratio based on a target number of revolution of wheel relevant to accelerator and a target number of revolution of motor obtained from maximum efficiency curves of inverter and motor and then varying thus operated speed change ratio, resulting in extension of traveling distance per single charging operation.
