The invention relates to a novel process for the isolation of polyisocyanate isomers in pure or enriched form from polyisocyanate mixtures containing at lest two polyisocyanate isomers by liquid/liquid extraction using a two-phase system composed of an unpolar phase and a polar phase which contains hydrogen halide.
