发明名称 INTERNAL SHORTCIRCUIT PREVENTION METHOD FOR SECONDARY BATTERY ELECTRODE PLATE GROUP
摘要 PURPOSE:To easily and efficiently prevent a group of plate for a secondary battery from being shortcircuited by an internal shortcircuit prevention method by providing respective insulating sheets while being brought into contact with the end faces of the upper and lower end sections of a separator. CONSTITUTION:A group of plates 1 is made up of a positive electrode plate 2 and a negative electrode plate 3, and of a laminated body combined with a separator 4 wider than each of these plates while being interposed between these plates 2 and 3. The separator 4 is so constituted that its upper and lower peripheries are projected outside out of the upper and lower peripheries of the positive and negative electrode plates 2 and 3 so as to be formed into an upper projected end periphery 4a and a lower projected periphery 4b respectively. And an upper insulation sheet 6 and a lower insulation sheet 7 are provided for the upper surface and the lower surface of the group of plates 1 in such a way that the inner surfaces of the sheets are brought into contact with the upper projected end periphery 4a and the lower projected end periphery 4b of the separator 4 respectively, and both the sheets are heated while being left over as they are, so that the aforesaid contact sections are mutually fusion bonded. By this constitution, seal binding sections 13a and 13b are formed, so that an upper and a lower open section between the separator can thereby be sealed.
