PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly efficient, reliable, and low-priced photovoltaic element which can be used for a long period of time. SOLUTION: At least a metal layer 102, a transparent layer 103, a semiconductor layer 104, and a transparent electrode 108 are successively laminated on a substrate 101 in this photovoltaic element. In this case, the metal layer 102 is composed of a silver-aluminum alloy having silver(Ag) concentration of 30at% or less, and the remaining aluminum(Al), and the relation factor of the metal layer 102 is 86% or higher to the light of 600 to 1000nm in wavelength. The metal layer 102 is formed on the substrate 101, which is maintained at the temperature of 110 deg.C or lower, using a sputtering method. |
