PURPOSE:To assure stable grounding over a long period of time by providing an exposed transparent conductive layer provided at one end of a transparent insulating belt-like base and a conductive part for grounding across the front surface, side end face and back surface at the end of the insulating belt base. CONSTITUTION:The transparent conductive layer 2 is exposed by leaving a photosensitive layer 3 without being coated over the prescribed length at one end at the time of forming the photosensitive layer 3. The conductive part 8 for grounding is provided across the front surface, side end face and back surface at the end of the transparent insulating belt base 1 so as to be electrically connected to the transparent conductive layer 2. A conductive revolving roller is then brought into contact with the conductive part 8 provided on the back surface of the photosensitive belt 4 at all times and the photosensitive belt 4 is rotated by the conductive revolving roller while the relative movement of the surface of the conductive revolving roller and the surface of the conductive part 8 for grounding is substantially not generated. Then, the chipping of the conductive part 8 for grounding is substantially obviated. |
