MANUFACTURE OF WELDED CROSSING

摘要

PURPOSE:To manufacture a welded crossing for a railroad branching unit having the wear resistance, the damage resistance and further no-generation of HAZ water crack. CONSTITUTION:In a welded crossing composed of a nose rail and a wing rail, at the time of welding a welding groove part equivalent to the rail head, for a multilayer welding with the gaseous CO2 shielded arc welding method, a coated electrode coated at the outer periphery of the electrode core with the coating flux composition incorporating 0.5-1.0% C against the total weight of electrode and so that the ratio of CaO/CaF2 is made to the range 1.3-1.0 is used or as a consumable electrode the welding solid wire or a welding composite wire containing 0.85-1.5% C against the total weight of filler material is used. The problem of the wear resistance and the damage resistance being the conventional problem can be solved, and the plactical use of the manufacturing method of welded crossing is high for the working efficiency.
