REINFORCING OF PIER OF BRIDGE AND THE LIKE

PURPOSE:To effectively reinforce existing piers of bridge by a method in which the lower end of a high-strength fibrous sheet attached to the piers is integrally and strongly connected to the footing. CONSTITUTION:A high-strength fibrous sheet 3a is attached to the joint with the footing to the lower parts of an existing pier 1 integrated with the footing 2. The pressing plate 5 of anchors 4 having vertically extending pressing plates 5 and anchor reinforcing bars 6 extended from the outside of the plate 5 toward the sideward is attached to the outside of the piers 1 with the sheet 3a, and the reinforcing bars 6 of the anchors 4 are attached to the reinforcing bars 11 of the reinforcing footing set on the outside of the existing footing 6. A formwork is set around the reinforcing bars 11 of the reinforcing footing and concrete is placed to construct a new footing 14.
