Device for measurement of moving body displacement or velocity

Device for measurement of displacement and velocity of a moving body has a toothed or serrated belt (2) which turns a fixed toothed pulley or cog (3). Rotation of the pulley (3) turns a device mounted on its axle which displays the rotation movement. The belt (2) is rolled around a driven cog (4) the driving force being a sprung or otherwise driven axle which in turn causes the unravelling of the belt. The device has a housing (1) with an opening for the belt (2). A system of tensioners (6) guide the belt on the wheels on the cogs and prevent its jumping or vibrating at high speeds.
