PURPOSE:To provide the subject prepreg using a specific silane coupling agent- treated carbon fiber as reinforcing material, capable of giving highly heat- resistant, tough carbon fiber-reinforced multifunctional maleimide-based resin composite materials. CONSTITUTION:The objective prepreg suitable for the structural materials for aircraft, made up of (A) as reinforcing material, carbon fibers treated with a silane coupling agent consisting of an aminosilane, epoxysilane and/or vinylsilane and (B) as matrix resin, a polyfunctional maleimide-based resin composed mainly of a polyfunctional maleimide like 1,2-bismaleimidethane, with its surface provided with (C) pref. a fibrous thermoplastic resin form. |
