PURPOSE:To inhibit the surface irregularities of each layer extremely, and to enable distinct image transfer by forming a barrier layer preventing the permeation of an organic solvent solution for forming the layer into a paper base material between the paper base material of a heated transfer sheet and a receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A heated transfer sheet used combined with a thermal transfer sheet and employed for conducting heating printing corresponding to image information by a thermal head, etc., is manufactured by successively forming a receiving layer 4, in which dyes transferring from the thermal transfer sheet at the time of heating are received, onto a paper base material 1 substantially composed of cellulose fibers through a barrier layer 2 and a porous layer 3. The barrier layer 2 formed for preventing the permeation of an organic solvent solution is shaped in such a manner that the aqueous solution of polyvinyl alcohol, etc., is mixed with a synthetic resin emulsion such acrylic ester or synthetic rubber latex such as a methacrylate-butadiene group, the paper base material 1 is coated with a liquid, in which an extender pigment is dispersed, and the liquid is dried. |
