PURPOSE:To enhance the storage stability of a recording image and to reduce background fog by adding a preservation improving agent composed of an ethyleneimine derivative represented by a specific structural formula and a developer consisting of a diphenylsulfone derivative and carbonate to the recording layer of a thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:In thermal recording paper utilizing the color forming reaction of a colorless or light-colored basic dye and an org. or inorg. developer and bringing both color forming substances into contact with each other under heating to obtain a recording image, an ethyleneimine derivative represented by general formula I (wherein R1 is a direct bond, -0-, -S-, -SO2- or a 1-6C alkyl group, R2 and R3 are respectively a 1-4C alkyl group, a 1-4C alkoxy group or a halogen atom. is added to the recording layer as a preservation improving agent and a diphenylsulfone derivative represented by general formula II (wherein R4 and R5 are respectively a l-4C alkyl group, a 1-4C alkoxy group, a benzyloxy group or a halogen atom) and carbonate are added to the recording layer as a developer. |
