The invention relates to a mounting of a shock-absorber for each of the wheels of a wheelchair for the handicapped. The shock-absorber takes up all or some of the irregularities encountered when the wheelchair is in movement, which provides the occupant with greater safety and better comfort. The shock-absorber will be fixed by one of its ends to the chassis of the wheelchair and at the other end to an assembly through which the axle of the wheel passes, which assembly is fixed to an articulated arm (11 or 18). It may mounted either vertically (5) or inclined (1). The shock-absorber, with or without springs which may or may not be adjustable, may be mounted either on the rear wheels (1) alone, or on the front wheels (5) alone, or on the rear and front wheels simultaneously. <IMAGE> |
