PURPOSE:To obtain a package cushioning material which produces an excellent cushioning effect over an extended period of hour by a method wherein a cylindrical body consisting of paper is filled with a number of filling materials made of small cut pieces of paper or wood and these filling materials are attached together with synthetic resin, etc. CONSTITUTION:The package cushioning material 1 is made of paper or paper composite material and shaped into the form of a cylindrical body 2 having L-shaped cross section. Filling material is made of at least either small cut pieces of paper or paper composite material or those of wood or wood composite material. The cylindrical body 2 is filled with a number of filling materials 3, which are then attached together with synthetic resin or adhesive agent to be formed into a connecting body 4. The cylindrical body 2 is provided with a first part 5 corresponding to the corner of a packaging container C and a second part 6 corresponding to the corner of the object S being packaged. The package cushioning material 1 is used inside the packaging container C by interposing between the corner thereof and the corner of the object S. |
