PURPOSE:To make a printing head more preservable and to improve the degree of freedom in handling while eliminating restrictions imposed on use of color ink by the printing head or on handling during distribution by a method wherein the ink housed in a separately replaceable printing head is divided into two types; namely the ink to be used during storage and distribution, and the ink to be used for printing. CONSTITUTION:A head part 1 is made up in a structure that is replaceable, and ink passages thereof are filled with ink to be used during storage and distribution. In order to avoid ill effects brought about by bubbles that are produced in the ink in a liquid chamber when the ink is left unused for a long time, a liquid having water + diethylene glycol as a component can be used for the ink to be used during storage and distribution. For the above-mentioned purpose, sufficient effect can also be ensured by using the ink in which dissolved gas is decreased by deaeration. As suction recovery operations are executed with an ink tank 2 set, the ink to be used during storage and distribution in the printing head 1 is sucked, and the ink for printing in the ink tank 2 is sucked. By filling the liquid chamber in the head with the ink for printing, printing operation becomes executable. |
