PURPOSE:To improve the durability of a deterioration detecting means, and improve the detecting precision by accumulating a running distance of a vehicle from a timing when oil replacement is detected, and detecting deterioration of oil when the accumulated distance reaches a specified distance at which the oil deterioration generates. CONSTITUTION:A deterioration detecting means (c) comprises a light emission part (a) for emitting detection light toward oil, and a light receiving part (b) for receiving the detection light passing through the oil, so a deterioration degree of the oil is detected based on a received light quantity. A running distance accumulating means (d) accumulates a running distance of a vehicle. An oil replacement detection means (e) detects the oil replacement. A detection control means (f) starts accumulation of the running distance when the oil replacement is detected, and prohibits detection of deterioration till an accumulated distance reaches a specified distance at which oil deterioration generates. In the mean while, when the accumulated distance reaches the specified distance, detection of deterioration is performed. The durability of the deterioration detecting means (c), and a detection precision is improved. |
