PURPOSE:To provide a new diaminotrifluoromethylpyridine derivative useful as a phospholipase A2 inhibitor, an antiinflammatory agent and antipancreatitis agent. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [X is CW<1>R<1>, COCOR<2>, CW<1>NHCOR<2>, C(=W<1>)W<2>R<3>, CW<1>NR<4>R<5>; Y is alkyl, CW<3>R<6>, COCOR<7>, NHCOR<7>, C(=W<3>)W<4>R<8>, (NH)mSO2R<9>, (NH)mSO2NR<11>R<12>; R<1>, R<6>, R<9> are chained hydrocarbon, monocyclic or polycyclic hydrocarbon or heterocyclic group; R<2>, R<3> are alkyl, alkoxy, phenyl, phenoxy; R<3>, R<8>, R<10> are alkyl, alkenyl, phenyl, benzyl, etc.; R<4>, R<5>, R<11>, R<12> are alkyl; W<1>-W<4> are O, S; m is 0, 1], e.g. N-(2-ethylsulfonylamino-5- trifluoromethyl-3-pyridine) pentafluoropropionamide. The compound is obtained from a starting material consisting of a compound of formula II derived from 2-chloro-3-nitro-5-trifluoromethylpyridine. |
