FORMING METHOD FOR AROMATIC POLYAMIDE FILM

The aromatic polyamide film is produced by (1) discharging a liquid crystal prepolymer through the device for molecular orientation and simultaneously orienting the prepolymer by giving a high shear force of above 500 sec-1, (2) ejecting the oriented product into the polymerization accelerating and precipitating agent solvent and completely polymerizing in the form of film, and (3) winding the film at a drawing rate of 1-4. The lip gap of film die is 0.01-5 mm. The film has a high strength and abrasion resistance, and is useful for FRP in automobile or airplane industry.
