PURPOSE:To enable measuring the degradation of material and damaged equipment accompanying the use for a long time in high temperature environment. CONSTITUTION:Provided are a detection head 3 having a sensor part arranged with transmission and reception ultrasonic wave probe group 31, 32, a multiple channel pulser group 11 to select each of ultrasonic wave sensors from the transmission ultrasonic wave sensor group 31 and transmit ultrasonic wave in turn, a multiple channel receiver group 13 to take in the ultrasonic waves received by each of the ultrasonic wave sensors in the reception ultrasonic wave probe group 32. By measuring the ultrasonic wave signals received with the reception ultrasonic wave probe group 32, an ultrasonic wave damping constant is measured with a degradation measurement judging means 17 based on the measured value and the distance between each of ultrasonic wave sensors in the reception ultrasonic wave probe group 32. The measured result here is compared with the master curve indicating the relation between the damage grade and the ultrasonic wave damping change for a testing material which is stored in a memory 16 in advance, to evaluate the degradation damage grade for the inspected material. |
