PURPOSE:To obtain high recording sensitivity by forming an intermediate layer with the composite resin particles of a polymerization condensation and/or polymerization addition resin and a vinyl polymerization resin between an image-receiving layer and a supporter in the title sheet with the image-receiving layer receiving a transfer image from a coloring-material transfer sheet. CONSTITUTION:In an image-receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording, in which an image-receiving layer receiving a transfer image from a coloring- material transfer sheet is formed onto a supporter, an intermediate layer with the composite resin particles of a polymerization condensation and/or polymerization addition resin and a vinyl polymerization resin is formed between the image-receiving layer and the supporter. The composite resin particles shaped to the intermediate layer are acquired by adjusting the aqueous dispersion bodies of resin particles consisting of a condensation resin generally represented by a polyester group, etc., and/or a condensation resin, etc., represented by a polyurethane group, a polyamide group, etc., and polymerizing vinyl monomers having charges reverse to the surface charges of the resin particles in the aqueous dispersion bodies. The mean particle size of the composite resin particles is set in 0.2-20mum. |
