PURPOSE:To offer a skin in-mold molding method by which a base material can be molded without a defect in appearance even when a little error appears in measurement of a skin. CONSTITUTION:A lifting core 20 which is able to slide vertically is provided in the upper corner of a slide core 14 which is in contact with a lower mold core 18, and a skin edge holding piece 24 which protrudes along the core 18 into the bottom of a cavity 12 is provided on the lifting core 20, so that a lower edge 30a of a skin 30 comes in contact with the skin edge holding piece 24. In the step where the lower mold core 18 is slid along the side face of the sliding core 14 and press-fitted into a cavity 12 of an upper mold 10, the presence of the skin edge holding piece 24 between the skirt 30 and the lower mold core 18 completely diminishes an interference between the skin 30 and the lower mold core 18 and a base material can be molded without a defect in appearance even if a little error appears in measurement of the skin 30. |
