PURPOSE:To provide a material having high abrasion resistance, sealing performance, and favorable affinity with the mating material, wherein the material is to form a slide sealing member such as seal ring whose mating member consists of comparatively soft aluminum or aluminum alloy. CONSTITUTION:Material concerned includes a matrix of denatured ethylene tetrafluoride resin and a main filler consisting of carbon fiber. Favorable example of the denatured ethylene tetrafluoride resin is a copolymer of ethylene tetrafluoride denatured with 0.001-1wt.% monomer which is expressed by the general equation CF2=CFOX and is capable of being copolimerized. A preferable carbon fiber content of the main filler is 7.5-17.5wt.%. |
