PURPOSE:To provide a device for grinding a doctor edge. CONSTITUTION:A whetstone assembly 13 provided with a first whetstone 14 at the center and a second whetstone 15 and a third whetstone 16 installed inclinedly on both sides is disposed in a manner of facing an edge of a doctor 1 above a fixing and supporting tool 12 for fixing and supporting a doctor holder 6 in which the doctor 1 is incorporated. In the state that the first whetstone 14 is pressed to the doctor edge, the whetstone assembly 13 is moved reciprocatingly along the doctor edge by an actuator 18. Also a means for moving the whetstone assembly 13 in the peripheral direction is provided, and the second whetstone 15 and the third whetstone 16 are pressed to the doctor edge, and in such state the assembly can be moved reciprocatingly along the doctor edge. |
