-The invention relates to a connecting device between the cover and the collar of a manhole. -The subject of the invention is a connecting device between the cover (3) and the collar (1) of a manhole, characterised in that it consists of the combination of hooping band (5) surrounding the periphery of the cover (3) and of the collar (1) with interposition, between the latter, of a seal (6) and of a small number of rods (7) engaged in holes (10) formed in the said cover (3) in the immediate vicinity of the said seal (6) and provided at their end with a clamp (7) engaged with the internal rim of the said collar (1). -Application in particular to manholes of tanker-lorries or tanker-wagons. <IMAGE>
