PURPOSE:To save the space for installing a heat exchanger and reduce the cost of the heat exchanger by partitioning each tube and each tank in the direction of the front and the back relative to the core. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger 1 is composed of a core which consists of alternated layers of tubes 2 as paths for fluid and corrugated fins 3 for dissipation of heat, side brackets 4 placed at the two outer sides in the direction of the layers of tubes and fins, and a pair of tanks 5 to which the two ends of each tube 2 are connected. In this heat exchanger 1 the front side and the back side of the core have paths which are independent of each other; the paths on the front side consists of two different ones, one path on the other and each independent of the other. Thus the common use of the tubes 2, fins 3, and tanks 5 enables at least two different heat exchangers to be put together in a single structure.
