PURPOSE: To obtain a therapeutic agent for thrombosis and a preventive for reocclusion, capable of preventing reocclusion caused by raised thrombin activity, excellent in treating effects, useful for thrombolytic therapy, comprising a protein C and a thrombolytically active substance not activating a protein C. CONSTITUTION: This medicine for treating thrombosis and preventing reocclusion comprises (A) a protein C and (B) a thrombolytically-active substance selected from the group consisting of urokinase, t-PA, Lys-plasminogen and streptokinase. Preferably, a preventive contains 10-50U/mg protein and a protein C and is administered as an injection (30-80U/kg) twice to three times daily.
