The moving upper blade (3) is mounted on the press ram (2). The blade is pressed against the clamping piece (4) by three bolts (13), each passing through a hole in the ram (2) and through holes in the clamping piece (4) and blade (3). Each bolt (13) also passes through a block (18) housing two hydraulic pistons which apply a tension force to the bolt which clamps the blade (3) against the clamping piece (4). In order to change the blade, the hydraulic pressure is shut off and the bolts (13) are removed. A wedge (38) is then driven between the sloping surface (39) of the clamping piece (4) and the undersurface of the clamping plate (5) so that the blade (3) and clamping piece (4) are removed together.
