PURPOSE: To dye in uniform density and in high color fastness by using fiber material modified with a silane compound without alkali agent or salt or with extremely small amount of them. CONSTITUTION: A fiber material modified is obtained by adding a silane compound of the fiber material. The silane compound is shown in formula I [R<1> is 1-8C alkoxy, H, halogen, hydroxy 1-4C alkoxy substituted 2-4C alkoxy N- morpholino, N-imidazolino, or formula II; R<2> is formula III or the like ((a) is 0, 1; (b) is 0-10; (c) is 1, 2; A is hydroxy, methoxy, sulfo or the like; X<1> is S, O, NH or the like when C is 1, and N when C is 2; B is 5-8C cycloalkylene or the like X<2> is X<1> when C is 1; D is hydroxy, methoxy, sulfo or the like); R<3> is 1-4C alkoxy substituted 1-8C alkoxy, H, halogen or the like; and R<4> is one of the meanings expressed by R<1> or R<3> ]. A dyeing material having deep tones and high fastness is obtained by using particularly reaction dying agent without any alkaline agent or salt or with small amount of alkali agent or salt.
