<p>An engine assessor system for an internal combustion engine including a number of spark generators (601-608). A clip for sensing the generated sparks is coupled to the engine and transmits spark signals. A reference signal and a noise offset signal are connected to a bank of comparators (630, 632, 634, 636, 638, 640, 642, 644) for comparing the reference signal to the spark signal. The comparators are connected at a first input to the reference signal and one of the spark signals and a second input to the noise offset signal, and the comparators generate a sensing signal when the spark signal exceeds the reference signal. A bank of counters (650, 652, 654, 656, 658, 660, 662, 664) are connected to comparator outputs. The counters count up to a predetermined number of counts, and each has at least two outputs. Colored display lights (DG1-DG8, DY1-DY8, DR1-DR8) are connected to the counters.</p> |
